How are shipping fees calculated?

Your rewards will be mailed from Italy, and every precaution has been taken to make shipping fees less pervasive. As stated in the campaign page, they are set to the bare minimum to ship rewards internationally, using all the available weight for any price range. If you have tried switching rewards, you might have noticed that shipping fees are (of course) proportional to the amount of sets included:

€5 for 1 full set (parcel weight is 50g) €7 for 2 full sets (parcel weight is 100g) €10 for 3 full sets (parcel weight is from 100g to 250g)

Only €5 more are charged for all destinations outside Europe, Canada, United States.

To contrast the higher shipping fees when getting more sets, all combos of two sets were discounted from the start by €1 (over an increase in fees of €2), and the trilogy by €3 (over an increase in fees of the same amount).

If you didn’t find the reward you wanted, because it was sold-out or because you wanted more of the same sets, you can proceed to build your custom bundle through add-ons in the pledge manager, and the shipping fees will increase in proportion to weight and destination, to align with those asked for comparable reward tiers.

Thanks to the Stretch Goals, the main add-ons in the pledge manager are now being discounted to help balance also increments in shipping fees due to heavier parcels.

Add-ons fees for the €5 HAL d20.01 rewards, which will be fullfilled a bit later (being completely custom bundles) will be calculated in the pledge manager, but not charged.

What are fudge / fate dice?

Fudge dice are six sided dice with two plus signs, two minus signs, and two empty sides. They have to be rolled in groups of four, removing couples of a plus and a minus. This way results are centered around zero as it is quite rare that you get many plus or minus together (meaning a great variation on your expected ability).

The star in my dice goes around the corner so that it works both as a plus in one side and as a minus in the next side. Also, the little stars in the background are incognito pips, so they can also be used as regular d6 while looking like a night sky.

What's a d20.01 for?

In the movie HAL is an intelligent computer which locks out of the spaceship its crew in order to avoid being deactivated. Through a combination of despair, courage, and luck, one astronaut gets back in the spaceship and removes the memory banks from the computer.

In RPGs the highest side on a d20 is valued as a Critical Hit.

All sides in this design except for the 20 are blank, meaning that there is still one chance to escape a deadly situation, but it’s an only chance and unlikely to happen.

This might be used to give players one last saving roll when they have basically lost a fight or failed a task, mantaining the suspense for a little more time. But it’s up to you in the end :)

Will add-ons delay the fulfillment of my reward?

The base rewards are being pre-packaged, and the campaign started after the full sets were made to avoid facing long delays and factory issues. If you are going to get any add-on you will have to wait slightly longer for fulfillment to take place. If you wish to get the new Dark HAL d20.01 you might have to wait at least a couple of weeks more, because they will not be ready before the end of January 2019.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
